The Silver Horde Magnum Squid is a soft plastic hoochie/squid bait used for salmon trolling applications. The Silver Horde Magnum Squids are manufactured by the Yamashita company in Japan of a special, super soft vinyl. The bait has a supple rubber like quality and the unique material will not absorb water and has zero buoyancy. These qualities allow the skirt to produces a life like bait fish action when fishing using trolling techniques. The Magnum Squid has to get its action from the flasher moving through the water, therefore by going to a heavier line, 40-50 pound test, the flasher is able to transmit more action to the squid.
